[dt. »Einstöpseln und Beten«], eine Abwandlung von Plug and Play, welche die Befürchtung zum Ausdruck bringt, dass nach dem Anschließen einer Komponente an den Computer nicht alles funktioniert, z. B. die Komponente nicht erkannt wird. Da der Benutzer bei solchen Fehlfunktionen oft machtlos ist, kann er nur »beten«, dass Plug and Play funktioniert. Probleme mit Plug and Play traten v. a. in der Anfangszeit dieses Konzepts auf.
